Haultain Park Benches

These benches were constructed by volunteers from the Faculty of Environmental Design as part of the EVDS Day of Service in 2012. My role was to design a component based system which could be deployed by a team of inexperienced volunteers with simple hand tools, while allowing for some flexibility and creativity. The components were designed to be able to hinge so that the volunteer teams were able to each develop a unique form for their benches. The project won a Mayor's Urban Design Award.
