Research Cabin

A design for an off-grid research station located in the eastern foothills of the Rockies. The form is optimized to collect solar photo-voltaic energy throughout the day and the seasons, and for modular construction and low-impact site deployment. Designed in collaboration with Logan Armstrong and Christina James, the design research involved in this project resulted in a publication, "Evolutionary solar architecture: Generating solar design through soft forms and rigid logics," which can be found in the proceedings for the 2016 ASCAAD conference: http://ascaad.org/archive/Proceeding-2016-web.pdf
